"Where you find life-long learning you will find excellence." - Unknown
"The effort is there, the excellence is coming." - Me
I have been a physical therapist for 47 years and practiced PRRT for over 20 years. I am currently semi-retired. I continue to treat family and friends. I continue to learn every day from the people I treat. I was a physical therapist in private practice for 45 years. I did own PT Plus physical therapy in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area until I sold it to my daughter, Amy, and son-in-law, Mark Snyder. My career in physical therapy has been very rewarding. I have always focused on patient care and the life-long learning attitude to improve the quality of care in our clinics. I have studied many techniques and modalities associated with physical therapy, with a focus on manual therapy or what one could achieve with the human touch. I met John Iams, who is the developer of the technique called PRRT, in 2001. I was instantly intrigued and excited about PRRT and felt as though it was the missing link in the application of manual therapy techniques. Since meeting John and studying the techniques I have worked to develop my understanding and application of these techniques and principles in helping people with a wide assortment of physical conditions. I continue to be challenged by the potential of this technique, called PRRT. It may be an integral part of a developing field of neuro-reflexive medicine. I have many great experiences in utilizing PRRT. It has changed how I practice and my view of the human body and how it functions. I had a realization at one time that PRRT was the vehicle that offered hope to people with disabling pain and physical limitations. Hope then becomes a bridge from despair to belief in a better life. It is supported by kindness generosity and empathy coming from someone who has humility and gratitude.
